We Have the Shirts in Hand!
We're super excited- we were able to go down and visit the t-shirt printer and watch the shirts be printed. It's a very cool process, so we wanted to share with all of you!
We've got a lot of packing and shipping in front of us, so off to stuff more bags!
We'll be locking down addresses this afternoon, so check if you've moved, or are JUST about to- we'll be shipping everything by this weekend.
Can't wait to see pictures of all of you in your shirts soon!!

T-shirts Ordered!

Hey all!
All of the shirt printing has been ordered, and we're looking forward to going to visit the printer early next week when they print them! We hope to share cool video of the printing process with you in the next update.
As you can see, I didn't quite make my goal of getting the next kickstarter up and running by last Thursday. We're still polishing it and completing the last bits, but I think it'll be much better for the delay.
Hoping to have big news about both shirts and the next campaign this time next week!

Moving Forward!
We locked down the survey this morning for those of you who have already replied, and also locked down the proof art from the t-shirt printer! We are 100% on track to ship by the end of March!
Coming up Next!
We're super excited- we have 4 new designs for shirts that are almost ready to launch! Look forward to big announcements over the next few days, as we finalize & lock down each design, and launch our second Kickstarter project- this time with T-shirts, stickers, and possibly more surprises!

Hiccups, Hacks, and a Virus can't stop us!

Hi backers!
Quick summary:
Week 2 was very hard, and we're a few days behind due to a hack and a computer virus. However, we believe that the shirts will still be able to ship between March 16-23, and we're very excited about that! There are a few surveys out still; I'm going to close the survey Monday, 3/6 for our first shipping run; anyone who answers after Monday will get their shirt(s) once we've finished our first wave. Please get your BackerKit surveys in! If you haven't seen it, reach out to me and we'll get it resent to you asap.
More details:
This week I checked our business account and fount out that the business Paypal account had been hacked, and almost $900 had been removed, closing the account and leaving me with quite a financial hole. Many hours of fraud claims and phone calls later, we have the money back, and every password changed. Not fun, but dealt with satisfactorily. Likewise, I came in to do work on the primary computer, and there was a piece of screen-sharing hackware installed. This also took several hours to dismantle and uninstall. None of your personal information was on this computer, so there has been no breach that will affect any of you, but it was not the fast moving week I was hoping.
In better news:
Yesterday I got the print image approval from the t-shirt printer, and it looked pretty good. As happens often when there are multiple artists involved, we have some tweaks to do, which have been sent back. As soon as they get those tweaks done, we'll be in good shape to print!
Becky and the team have been working like mad to get more designs in process and close to launching. She has three designs ready, that we're just playing with minor tweaks to, and has two more that are awesome and in progress. We're SO excited!
Which brings us to WHEN!?!? We're looking to launch the next kickstarter next week, with at least 3 new designs, possibly designs 4 & 5 as stretch goals. We've pulled this forward a week because one of our team is lucky enough to be going to SxSW next weekend, and will be promoting Wear My Values at different events while she's there! We're thrilled for her, and for Wear My Values.
Other milestones & tasks:
Backerkit surveys are out and many are returned. I'm waiting for 8 total for 100% return.
Kickstarter disbursed our funding! We have the money to pay for the printing as soon as we've got our count finalized.
We've set our appointment up with the attorney, so will finish our business paperwork and contract paperwork by the time we launch the next kickstarter.
Website design intensive is happening this weekend with our web designer; she's awesome, but busy; we're hoping to launch the new website next week as well! (OK, this one may be me hopefully thinking, but we're trying to do everything by thursday, including the next launch.)

BackerKit surveys released!
Hey, all!
We've sent surveys to all of you through BackerKit. Please respond as rapidly as you are able so that we can get final counts of sizes and kick off the order! Please respond today if you can, it takes only a few minutes. I will lock down the survey tool next week so we can order the shirts in time to ship in March.

New Designs!
We have 4 or 5 new designs we really like- and two of them have reached the point we can share them! We would very much like to hear what you think about them! Tell us either in the comments here or by sending us a message via Kickstarter. We are looking for genuine feedback- we'd rather know now that we missed the mark, or were culturally blind in some way, than to find out after the shirts are printed. If you love it, we want to know that too!

Our second shirt design is "This is what an ALLY looks like." The additional text will read something like:
Allies look different than you expect.
#LookDeeper #WearMyValues #ImAnAlly.
The back of the shirt shows a stylized eagle with ALLY written as the torso. We're planning to launch this shirt in many colors, not just basic black/white.
We're excited to release a shirt for allies, something that can say clearly "I support you and your cause with my conscious choices."

One of the issues that Wear My Values would like to address is the partisan divide between red states/blue states (and red/blue voters). We believe that people are people, and would like to promote the things that we all have in common. By concentrating on values we all agree on, we can reduce the divisions between "us" & "them."
When we call people names, or assign them a box or a label, those people are more likely to act from within that label. We choose to use a label that unites instead of labels that divide. We are all are no less human for voting, believing, looking, or loving one way rather than another.
We are excited to hear what you have to say, and to keep our project moving! Look forward to receiving another update next week.
